Announcing the 2nd Crooked Tree Village Reunion-April 2011
The Crooked Tree Village Reunion Committee would like to announce the 2nd Crooked Tree Village Reunion, to be held April 22nd- 24th, 2011. We respectfully invite you and your family to set aside some time to attend this remarkable and memorable event.
Reunions represent a chance to gain a sense of who we are as a family; develop a sense of family unity, and to pass those ties onto future generations. You don’t want to miss the chance to reunite with all your family and friends whom you have lost contact with over the past years.
In 2008, the first Crooked Tree Village Reunion was held at the Cashew Festival Grounds. We entertained approximately 600 people from Crooked Tree Village and their descendants from abroad. We were able to meet new family members and get re-acquainted with friends.
It is now our goal to bring together the descendants of Crooked Tree Village once again, so that we can continue this tradition. With the passing of 17 of our fellow villagers and descendants since the first reunion, we feel it is important to continue making an effort to re-unite family and friends. By passing the torch and preserving our legacy and our heritage, our children will know who we are for many generations to come.
June 26, 2010 On Wednesday, June 23, fifteen students graduated from Crooked Tree Village Primary School. Mr. John Gillett II was the guest speaker. Mr. Gillett told the graduates that there are great possibilities for their future, but they must remember that it takes hard work and determination to accomplish certain goals in life. Mrs.Verla Jex, Principal, and E. Jahmoor Lopez, Local Manager for Primary Schools also had praise for the graduates and words of wisdom. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Ms. Janine Tillett.
Daniella Lightburn delivered the Valedictory address. The other top students for the 2009-2010 graduating class were Jaaziniah Wade, Jasmine Lauriano and Jessica Gillett.

Welcome to the Crooked Tree Village Reunion 2011, an idea borne by one of our village's very own daughters, Linda Crawford Elul. Our first reunion was held in 2008. The goal of this event is to reunite with our long, lost friends and families and reminisce about the good, old times. The Reunion will take place on Friday, April 22nd thru Sunday, April 24th, 2011 in the beautiful and tranquil Village of Crooked Tree. This site will be used to provide information about the reunion, so please visit it regularly to learn more about this SPECTACULAR EVENT that will go down as one of the most memorable in the history of Belize!
